About BlackOps Market
What It Is
BlackOps Market is a Tor-only darknet marketplace that launched in September 2024. Monero is the sole accepted currency, and the entire interface functions with JavaScript completely disabled. This is not a reskin of an older market. It is a new build.
The Escrow Model
Funds sit in a 2-of-3 multisig wallet controlled by the buyer, the vendor, and the market. Any two of those three keys can sign to release the funds. The default escrow window lasts 14 days after purchase confirmation. You may finalize early if you choose, but doing so forfeits your right to file a dispute. New vendors operate under escrow-only terms until they establish a verified track record.
Vendors and Bonding
Every vendor stakes a fixed bond upon registration. If a vendor exits without resolving open disputes, the bond covers the shortfall. This replaces the older model where opening a shop cost nothing and scammers vanished into thin air. The bond amount is a set sum, not a percentage of sales.
PGP and Messaging
All communication between buyers and vendors travels through PGP encryption. The market server holds neither key nor plaintext, meaning it cannot read your correspondence. You need a valid keypair to message anyone. If you lack one, the market provides a built-in generator. Your private key never leaves your machine during this process.
What It Is Not
This is not the largest market by listing count. The vendor pool remains younger than established giants from prior cycles. There is no Bitcoin option, which some traders still miss. If you expect thousands of vendors per category, look elsewhere. If you value privacy by default and a transparent escrow structure, this fits.
