BlackOps Market FAQ
Is BlackOps Market legit or a scam?
It has run since 2024 and the multisig works. But no market is "legit" in the legal sense. It is a private marketplace with a functioning escrow.
What coin does BlackOps accept?
Monero only. No BTC, no LTC, and no swap.
Do I need JavaScript?
No. The entire site works with JS off. If a mirror asks for JS, it is a clone.
How long does delivery take?
It depends on the vendor and category. Digital goods are instant. Physical items typically take 5 to 14 days. The escrow window is 14 days by default.
What is the vendor bond?
It is a fixed sum staked at signup. If a vendor exit-scams, the bond covers open disputes. The amount is set by the market, not the vendor.
Can I use a VPN with Tor?
You can, but it adds a layer that can introduce new attack vectors. For most users, Tor alone is sufficient. If you use a VPN, do it before Tor, not after.
How do I know I am on the real market?
Check the anti-phishing captcha on the login page. It prints the market's own onion address. Compare it to your address bar. Also check the PGP-signed announcement on Dread.
What happens if I finalize early?
You release the funds to the vendor before confirming delivery. This removes your dispute window. Do it only with vendors you have bought from multiple times and trust.
